Projects: the work behind a finished unit

These photos come from our own jobs. We describe what each image shows and leave out locations and client details. Much of it is the stage nobody sees once the doors open.

Plasterboard, ceilings and framing

Metal framing, boards fixed with a lifter and continuous ceilings across wide spaces. In commercial units the ceiling carries the lighting, hides the cabling and keeps services accessible through hatches.

Masonry and plastering

Block and brick partitions, machine plastering and corner beads. In a shell unit this is where the layout takes shape, long before signage and display go in.

Interior finishes and lighting

Lit cove ceilings, feature panels and built-in shelving. These finishing details give a shop or office its character, and they only look right on a straight, well-prepared base.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are these photos from commercial jobs only?

They are from our team’s work in general. The techniques shown — ceilings, partitions, lighting coves — are the same ones we use in shops and offices.

Why show unfinished work?

Because in a fit-out the hidden layers decide how long the finish lasts: framing, fixings, plastering and services.

Why are locations not given?

To protect clients’ privacy. We only describe what the photo shows.

Can you build a ceiling like this in my shop?

Usually yes, depending on the height available and what has to run above it. We check at the visit.

What is a lighting cove?

A recess in the edge of a suspended ceiling that hides an LED strip and throws light onto the ceiling or wall.

Do you make built-in shelving?

We build plasterboard niches and shelving as part of the fit-out. Bespoke shopfitting joinery is a specialist package.

Can I send a reference image?

Yes, send it with photos of your unit and we will tell you what is feasible.

Do the projects include electrics?

Electrics are carried out by authorised partner installers within our coordination.

Are the photos retouched?

The content is not altered; images are only optimised for the web.

Where can I see more?

In the gallery, grouped by type of work.
